<joyce PK at HK WETLAND, Sept. 2011>
First of all, I should thank mom and the taxi driver for helping me come up with such a funny chinese name of this article…Mom encourages me to write, just like she always encourages me to write our travel notes…I haven’t even finished the Moscow one from two years ago, but I do have feelings to write now!!!
<we found a dead butterfly on the ground when we entered the park>

The story started with us hearing a group leader talking about “three major status of our lives…” Mom was so funny:” Oh, such a magnificent topic…”
Mom told me the words she heard from a famous Chinese philosopher when she was in BJ, about the final status of life:
“death is just like a sweet & sound sleep, after you have worked for a long busy day…”
Mom always likes to talk about such things to me…She said she can almost publish a <Quotations Book> after her <bio book> hahaha…I asked her why not….I know the reason…she is very very lazy bones person…she has that real royal blood and she explained to me, “at least for two generations if you pretty much don’t need to do anything but just enjoy the life and you survive…that’s called Royal blood” …
like Prince Charles…Like her family…but not her….she is not that lucky since 1949.
We took pictures everywhere as usual….like our old travelling days…the bad thing was she left her favorite camera in Beijing so I lent her mine, and I only had my IPhone <quality is like shxt>…

Mom always remembers all the nice poems and many times she will just speak out loudly about something that I really don’t understand ….like now…in such quiet beautiful natural site…she is almost shouting out to the sky :
天街小雨潤如酥,
草色遙看近卻無。
最是一年春好處,
絕勝煙柳滿皇都
<Run as crisp days of streets light rain, close but no very thick grass, benefits the most is the spring of the year, royal must win at least those trees…>
< I am just that dragonfly and fly everywhere >
< please pay attention the diff. materia, I love itl!!!>

I took this one, and I told her I would name it “living at the edge” <I have many friends on facebook that always ask me to record my days in HK…to make them feel closer since they are now gone…): ….
But mom tried to correct me, "no!! you should say : ' daughter is living to grow up, but mom is getting older…”…it made my tears well up in my eyes….

And I always love to take photos of only our shadows against the landscape…
<mom looking out the landscape>
<me,a little dragonfly trying to jump out..>
We spent a wonderful afternoon on our first-ever visit to “wetland park” together….even we haven't gotten a chance to really travel together again this year...but sometimes, the location is not that important, most important, is. the . person. you . go. with...
Mom kept talking to me about things she has never shared with me before….
”All our experiences are parts of our lives…even if you have not learned anything you have at least experienced it…”
She told me about my grand-father’s story for the first time...I just knew that the guy (my grandpa) was an amazing newspaper establisher & reporter…so that’s why many of the top film stars were all his friends and mom said, there were letters, postcards, photos, with those top film stars like Zhou-Xuan, Li-Li-Hua, etc’s with their signatures……everywhere in her home….but she had to burn and bury them all, to protect her life during China Culture Revolution…
<me, again...>
<mom took my photo, but i look really fat...>
<she felt amazing when she saw this big ARROW!!! she's crazy then she took the photo, even it was JUST in the middle of the traffic!!!>
On the way back to Yuan Lung…we talked about the name of my brief travel note….for a some funny reason, the taxi-driver, mom and me came up with this<天水圍的天與水, 與圍> …trust me, if you are not Chinese, you might really not understand what we were talking about….
<me, I left myself there...I took the last photo of myself, and set her free in the sky...>
Such a beautiful day, ended with our strange dinner: Beer with ice + plain congees…resturant boss looked at us like we are E.T.

Life is always wonderful with mom…
